Job Purpose:
The Driver is responsible for ensuring safe transporting, delivering, and installing equipment at customer sites. This role ensures all deliveries are completed professionally while providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Primary Duties:
- Safely deliver, pickup, and relocate equipment and accessories.
- Verify all equipment, accessories, and documentation match customer orders prior to delivery.
- Load, unload, and secure equipment to prevent damage during transport.
- Complete delivery paperwork accurately and report any discrepancies or damages.
- Operate delivery vehicles in compliance with DOT regulations and company policy.
- Maintain a professional appearance and provide courteous service when interacting with customers.
- Perform other activities that support Milner and our Sales/Service organization.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- A minimum of one to two years as a driver/delivery person.
- Skilled in driving 15–20-foot trucks with lift gate
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions, occasionally in urgent situations.
Working Conditions:
- Requires standing, walking, reaching, stooping.
- May require occasional lifting up to 75 pounds.
- Exposure to heat, cold, and fumes in open warehouse.
Special Requirements
- Must complete all required company and HR training courses.
