About the Role
We are looking for medical professionals and individuals with healthcare knowledge to join a remote medical transcription project that helps train AI language systems.
We especially welcome applications from:
- Medical students
- Allied health professionals
- Medical interpreters
- Medical transcriptionists
- Healthcare workers or individuals familiar with medical terminology
In this project, you will listen to authentic Cantonese-English healthcare conversations and accurately transcribe what you hear.
The recordings feature Cantonese-English code-switching, where speakers naturally switch between Cantonese and English during conversations. Many English words are medical terms commonly used in healthcare settings, making medical knowledge essential for accurately identifying and transcribing the content.
We're primarily looking for candidates who are fluent in Cantonese and familiar with the Hong Kong accent, as the recordings originate from Hong Kong. However, if you're confident in speaking and writing Cantonese and can accurately understand Hong Kong Cantonese conversations, you're encouraged to apply.
