Description
A Production Runner is a highly energetic and motivated individual that drives customer success by ensuring print jobs and documents are delivered and scanned to various assigned slots throughout the production floor. This is a physically demanding role that requires continuous walking and moving of totes. A Production Runner must be able to make decisions quickly and with little direction while being well organized, and paying close attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and comprehend the job instructions (QA Checklist), which may include: general instruction, special Instructions, and change orders
- Identify and pull appropriate print jobs and customer content by priority in a timely manner
- Transport customer content to appropriate slot location within the production floor
- When needed, scan print jobs or customer content to the next step in the process and stage those jobs in the proper slots for continued processing
- Self-manage through complex issues and choose appropriate solutions
- Other duties as assigned
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- Must be dependable, flexible and have the ability to work overtime with little or no notice (required)
- Organizational skills (required)
- Previous experience using a pallet jack or experience in a physically demanding job (required)
- Entry-level computer experience (required)
- Previous experience with an IR (Infrared) Scanner (preferred)
- Minimum of 6 months experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
