You will cultivate and steward a portfolio of engaged supporters, deepening their connection to Intermountain Health while creating pathways toward major giving opportunities.
The ideal candidate is energized by building authentic relationships, translating generosity into tangible outcomes, and guiding donors through one of the most exciting and influential stages of their philanthropic journey. Through personalized engagement, thoughtful stewardship, and donor-centered strategies, you will help create a culture of giving that changes lives and strengthens the future of healthcare.
This role will work Monday-Friday during regular business hours. Occasional work on weekends and evenings may be required, depending on business needs.
Although this position may work remotely, candidates living in our service areas of Utah, Las Vegas, Colorado, & Montana are preferred.
Essential Functions
- In addition to leading a team of mid-level gift officers, this role will carry a dynamic portfolio of donors and prospects, drive revenue, set strategy, and create culture for a high-performing mid-level program.
- Partnering closely with the Annual Giving Director and Foundation partners, this position will drive growth withing the mid-level donor pool through targeted fundraising strategies, portfolio optimization, and donor centric engagement.
- Demonstrate strong frontline fundraising instincts, comfort with data segmentation strategy, and a desire to build a leading program within a collaborative and mission-driven team.
- Manage and grow a portfolio and broader donor pool of mid-level donors with clear revenue and activity goals.
- Develop and execute individualized cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship plans designed to increase retention, upgrade giving, and identify major gift potential.
- Collaborate with support team leaders to design and refine mid-level giving strategy, including segmentation, prospect identification and qualification, and donor journey map.
- Participate in development leadership conversations to ensure mid-level giving workflows and expectations are clearly communicated. This includes maintaining a strong understanding of the organization’s operation outcomes, campaign milestones, and mission fulfillment to translate into impactful donor conversations.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree. Degree must be obtained through an accredited institution. Education is verified.
- -and / or-
- 5+ years of fundraising experience with demonstrated achievement managing a portfolio of individual donors.
- Experience leading a team.
- Strong functional experience with Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge or similar donor database.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in managing fundraisers

Physical Requirements
Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.
Frequent interactions with providers, colleagues, customers, patients/clients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.
Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc.
