Position Summary
The Accounting Manager supports the financial operations of a 223-room full-service Hilton hotel, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with Hilton standards, and efficient day-to-day accounting functions. This role oversees accounting processes, internal controls, and team members while partnering with operational departments to drive financial performance and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash handling procedures.
• Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances.
• Monitor hotel revenues, expenses, and forecasts; provide analysis to support business decisions.
• Ensure compliance with Hilton brand standards, internal audit requirements, and local/state regulations.
• Supervise and develop accounting staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
• Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard hotel assets.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning processes.
• Collaborate with department heads to improve financial performance and cost controls.
Qualifications
• Minimum 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in hospitality or hotel environments.
• Prior supervisory or management experience required.
• Strong knowledge of hotel financial reporting practices.
• Experience with Hilton systems (e.g., PEP, R&I, Simphony).
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
