Job Description:

The Director, Payments & Experience, will ensure that Regional GS (Global Services) Procurement Payments & Experience organisation delivers results in support of the Global Services, OneProcurement, Finance and Johnson & Johnson business strategy and objectives. The role works directly with the business, suppliers, and the broader procurement and finance functions to ensure a seamless experience for the requestor/business partner when engaging with the procurement process.

This role oversees and manages activities relating to the implementation and execution of the organization's strategic plans to transform the internal and external partner experience across multiple areas such as accounts payable, compliance, trainings, and helpdesk.

The Director, Payments & Experience, works to identify and address needs of internal and external stakeholders, develops strategies that mitigate risk and improve the organization profitability and remains abreast on current market trends.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leads, mentors and develops a team of individual contributors, supervisors, and/or managers and is accountable for conducting effective performance management.
• Oversees operational aspects of the team (e.g., workflow, performance, and compliance), as well as ensuring achievement of team goals within established timelines. Delivers against defined Service Levels.
• Ensures compliance with applicable regulatory, tax, legal and company policies and procedures.
• Oversees the day-to-day operations of the Payments (invoice to payment) & Experience (e.g. training, helpdesk, other) functions.
• Collaborates with multiple departments in the development and execution of strategies and plans that improve the organizations profitability and competitive position, utilizing market intelligence, risk assessments, and total cost projections.
• Drives continuous improvements in user experience, effectiveness, and efficiency in assigned area of responsibility.
• Supports development and implementation of automation and AI (Artificial Intelligence) initiatives within assigned area of responsibility.
• Creates Value by developing strong, value-added working relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers with a view to pro-actively understand and constructively influence their needs and expectations.
• Integrates Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives into team goals and decision making.
• Demonstrates an understanding of AI concepts and frameworks, including awareness of responsible and ethical AI practices, and has experience generating effective prompts to boost efficiency and productivity.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent University degree is required.
• An MBA or further advanced degree is preferred.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

• 10-12 years of Procurement, Finance, or other relevant business experience
  with minimum 3-5 years in a Director role.
• Prior experience of leading large teams in a complex matrixed structure and managing key stakeholders internally and externally in a service delivery environment
• Strategic mindset. Disciplined data-oriented thinking to be able plan for long term.
• Collaboration, Communication & Influencing Skills: Should be regarded as a constructive player representing the Payments & Experiences functions and overall procurement in various teams within the company and outside. Should have the requisite communication skills to communicate & influence objectives and then develop collaborative relationships both internally and externally to achieve them.
• Learning Agility & Openness to Change
• Fluency in English (written and oral) is required.

Preferred:

• Good understanding of Sourcing and Contracting processes and Source-to-settle operations at a high level is preferred.
• Experience in one or more Procurement Functional domains: Sourcing incl. negotiation of commercial and non-commercial terms, Category management, R2P or Accounts Payable
• Shared Services Industry experience is preferred.
• Fluency in Portuguese.

• Requires up to 20% domestic and international travel.
