We are looking for a talented individual who shares our values to join our team as a Customer Relations Agent - Cashier. Reporting to the Profit Centre Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for maximising sales by supporting the implementation of marketing, sales, and promotional activities across product lines. The role also includes reconciling cash transactions at the Profit Centre while maintaining financial and administrative systems and adhering to established procedures. The ideal candidate will ensure the efficient operation of the Profit Centre and consistently exceed customer expectations.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Customer Transactions & Payment Processing: Accurately process cash and delivery information for customer purchases, ensuring correct payments, proper change distribution, and secure packaging of goods.
Daily Cash Reconciliation: Balance daily cash transactions, ensuring alignment with the Daily Register Summary Listing and accurate bank deposits.
Customer Assistance & Sales Generation: Assist customers in selecting products in-store and over the phone, providing accurate information and suggesting additional products to maximise sales.
Customer Service & Issue Resolution: Promptly respond to customer queries and complaints with professionalism, referring unresolved matters to the appropriate authority.
Stock Pricing, Shelving & Merchandising: Ensure all stock is correctly priced, properly labelled, and displayed attractively, while maintaining regular stock rotation.
Job Requirements:
- An associate degree or CAPE qualification in Business Studies or a similar designation.
- At least three (3) years of sales and cash handling experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:
- Strong numerical and accuracy skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Organisational and multitasking skills to manage transactions, inventory, and customer queries efficiently.
- Basic computer proficiency for processing transactions and generating reports.
- Knowledge of sales processes and customer service best practices.
