Role summary:The (USA) Analyst, Compliance and Ethics Operations plays a critical role in ensuring adherence to privacy and records management standards by auditing processes, analyzing data, and identifying risks. This position supports the development and communication of compliance guidelines, manages incident responses, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to implement effective privacy and records programs. The role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to provide expert guidance on regulatory requirements, driving continuous improvement while upholding the highest standards of integrity and ethical business practices.
About the team:
The Specialty Compliance and Ethics team ensures regulatory adherence by managing workflows and data requests across multiple jurisdictions. Collaborating with technical and production support, the team resolves issues promptly to prevent backlogs. It supports policy development, compliance risk management, and governance strategies while maintaining high ethical standards. Team members monitor compliance concerns, analyze regulatory trends, and prepare reports for leadership. The team promotes integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement to support business goals and uphold Walmart’s commitment to lawful and ethical operations.
What you'll do:
- Audit records procedures and standards to ensure compliance with privacy and records management requirements.
- Analyze and summarize datasets related to privacy, identifying process gaps and mitigating compliance risks.
- Develop and maintain departmental guides, procedures, and communications on privacy and records best practices.
- Coordinate responses to privacy incidents, ethics tickets, and external inquiries from regulatory bodies.
- Support implementation of Privacy and Records Management programs through cross-functional collaboration.
- Advise business units on privacy compliance and security risk reviews for technical implementations.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory changes impacting privacy and records management.
- Build partnerships with stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities and drive process enhancements.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience in compliance auditing and business process improvement to ensure adherence to policies and regulations.
- Strong knowledge of information privacy principles and records management best practices.
- Ability to analyze, synthesize, and present complex data to support decision-making and risk mitigation.
- Skilled in developing clear procedures, reports, and communications for stakeholders.
- Demonstrated capability to manage compliance issues, coordinate responses, and escalate concerns appropriately.

The hourly wage range for this position is $26.00 - $51.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
