The Fullsteam Accounting team supports billing, revenue recognition, financial reporting, audit readiness, and process improvement across Fullsteam’s portfolio companies. This team partners closely with Billing and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure revenue and billing activity is accurate, complete, well documented, and aligned with company policy and ASC 606.
The Fullsteam Accounting team is seeking a highly qualified candidate for our Revenue Accountant role with SaaS revenue experience and the ability to thrive in a high growth and fast paced environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the billing and revenue recognition is accurate for a group of our portfolio companies.
Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate and timely revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 and company policy.
Reconcile billing, revenue, and general ledger activity across NetSuite, NetSuite SuiteBilling, Zuora Billing, and Zuora Revenue.
Investigate and resolve revenue and billing discrepancies.
Prepare journal entries, accruals, reclasses, and supporting documentation.
Maintain reconciliations for Deferred Revenue, Unbilled Revenue, Accounts Receivable, and Bad Debt balances.
Review month-over-month revenue fluctuations and provide variance explanations.
Partner with Billing and Operations teams to ensure transaction accuracy and completeness.
Support revenue recognition reviews related to subscription, recurring, and usage-based billing arrangements.
Assist with testing and validation of system enhancements and configuration changes within NetSuite and Zuora platforms.
Maintain process documentation and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Assist with internal and external audits by providing supporting schedules, documentation, and explanations.
Collaborate with Accounting, Billing, Finance, and Operations teams to improve revenue and billing processes.
Skills & Competencies:
Working knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition principles.
Experience with SaaS, subscription, recurring revenue, or transaction-based billing models.
Familiarity with NetSuite, NetSuite SuiteBilling, Zuora Billing, and Zuora Revenue.
Strong reconciliation and analytical skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Collaborative approach and willingness to work across departments.
Continuous improvement mindset
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
3-5 years of accounting experience with a focus on revenue accounting, billing, or general ledger accounting.
Understanding of ASC 606 and revenue recognition concepts.
Experience performing account reconciliations and month-end close activities.
Experience working within ERP systems; NetSuite experience preferred.
Experience with NetSuite SuiteBilling, Zuora Billing, or Zuora Revenue preferred.
Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis.
Experience supporting audit requests and financial documentation.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Salary Range: $53,900-$75,000
