As a Security Officer Unarmed Route Driver in Sparks, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, and help to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service and communication. This primarily driving position requires a valid driver’s license and offers the opportunity to represent Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture through teamwork and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and utility customers by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services when required.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, office areas, parking areas, grounds, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions, unauthorized activity, and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation.
• Support the continuity of utility operations by reporting hazards, equipment issues, suspicious activity, and policy violations to appropriate personnel in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Security Professional Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
