Join the Trinity Health Livonia Hospital team and play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care. As a Hospital Transporter, you will safely transport patients throughout the hospital while delivering a positive, compassionate experience for patients, families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport patients safely and efficiently to and from various hospital departments and appointments.
• Assist with patient transfers using proper body mechanics and safety procedures.
• Verify patient identity and destination prior to transport.
• Transport and manage patient care equipment, including wheelchairs, stretchers, oxygen tanks, and other medical devices.
• Maintain transportation equipment to department standards for cleanliness and functionality.
• Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and emergency response protocols.
• Communicate professionally with patients, families, nurses, and other healthcare team members.
• Complete required documentation and maintain productivity standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Current Heartsaver CPR certification required.
• Previous patient transport experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods and safely push, pull, bend, and lift in accordance with hospital safety guidelines.
