Test Manager

Job Description Summary

The Test Manager is responsible for global test management activities to ensure the quality, performance, and compliance of enterprise applications and platforms across both SAP and non-SAP systems. This role is planning, coordinating, reporting and overall managing test cycles with all their relevant aspects. The position ensures that testing practices align with regulatory requirements, enterprise architecture, and delivery methodologies, and provides a scalable, cost-effective, and high-quality testing service to internal customers across the global landscape. It also oversees the build-out of internal test related capabilities while managing contributions of external testing partners and driving automation.

Job Description

Major accountabilities: 

• Define and implement Test approach, test scope and required artefacts such as Test strategy, Test Plans and Test related reports pertaining to one or multiple test cycles. These can be Business, Functional or other type of test cycles.
• Establish and maintain standardized testing methodologies, frameworks, and tools
• Ensure appropriate test coverage, including functional, regression, integration, performance, and automated testing
• Oversee validation and documentation processes in alignment with GxP and other relevant regulatory requirements for assigned test cycles
• Defect Management, ensuring that defects are recorded, prioritized and resolved effectively.
• Perform risk assessments on defects that affect business-critical and GxP processes
• Contribute to test automation strategy to increase speed, efficiency, and repeatability in delivery.
• Collaborate with Business and Technology stakeholders, Factory and Platform teams to ensure successful test activities
• Define and monitor testing KPIs to assess quality, efficiency, and compliance of testing outcomes.

• ·       Ensure adherence to global compliance standards, including GxP, data privacy, and cybersecurity policies. ·       Monitor emerging testing technologies, industry trends, and regulatory developments to inform testing methodology evolution.

Minimum Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline
• Proven experience in software testing for S4Hana and additional technologies like Veeva, LIMS, MES systems in large scale integrated User Acceptance  testing or Functional testing activities, spanning multiple business processes, applications, interfaces and managing multiple involved functional & business teams
• Experience in defining test strategy & plans and alignment with Validation, Quality, Security & Authorizations and other contributing teams

Languages & Experience and Skills

• Fluent English (spoken and written)
• 10+ years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, with at least 7 years in large scale projects/programs.
• Strong experience managing major test activities across SAP and non-SAP systems in enterprise environments.
• Deep understanding of testing frameworks, test management tools, especially Opentext ALM and automated testing.
• Demonstrated knowledge of regulated environments (GxP, CSV) and validation best practices.
• Hands-on experience with test planning, execution, and defect lifecycle management across various delivery models.
• Ability to navigate a highly complex global matrix organizations and integrated environments. Status reporting
• Excellent problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills
• Ability to translate technical topics into business language and vice versa. 
• Experience with Waterfall / Agile and/or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
