Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time TWIC Verification in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a utility location, you will help maintain a secure environment by verifying credentials, managing visitor and badge access, monitoring entry points, and documenting security-related activity. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and support a visible presence that helps deter incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and vendors while carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor records, and direct authorized individuals in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations and concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, restricted areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Complete accurate logs, incident reports, and other required documentation; support Allied Universal and site leadership with security-related communications and procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and a rustic guard shack.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
