Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol in Greenville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer supporting a dynamic aerospace and defense location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct access control activities, remain visible to help deter incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, restricted areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, and maintain required visitor, vehicle, and incident documentation in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders as appropriate.
• Maintain readiness and responsible control of assigned equipment, including firearms, while following applicable laws, training requirements, and Allied Universal policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Possess at least 3 years of security-related, law enforcement, military police, or military experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
