Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Loss Prevention Screening in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will operate screening equipment, monitor access points, and help identify prohibited items or irregular activity. You will maintain a visible presence, support a professional environment, and provide courteous service to employees and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and items entering designated logistics and distribution areas in accordance with established procedures.
• Verify identification, access permissions, and shipment-related documentation before allowing entry to controlled areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening points, access areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
