Data Sharing analyst

Key Responsibilities      

State the key (maximum of seven) areas and clusters of responsibility, formulated in an active manner. Define the reason why the job exists, you may summarize overall responsibilities, applicable guidelines/policies, and expected output. Avoid using jargon, acronyms, and abbreviations where possible so that a non-TVH generalist would understand the scope and size of the job.            

Data Safeguarding & Governance           
Act as the primary gatekeeper of the Data Sharing framework. Secure quality checks and product accuracy on all outbound data before sharing with customers. Ensure strict adherence to sharing rules to protect TVH's data assets and prevent unauthorized data leakage.

Framework Evolution
For incoming customer requests exceeding current boundaries, evaluate feasibility and conduct deep-dive data analyses. Leveraging a strong willingness to learn, you will rapidly acquire TVH-specific data model and business logic expertise, exploring new tables and structures to expand our data sharing and EDI integration capabilities.

Data Analysis   
"Analyze and build complex, modular datasets for customer system compatibility (Webshop, ERP, etc.) using expert SQL skills within the Google BigQuery and dbt environment. Ensure all solutions are optimized for the production (PROD) environment and translate complex business requirements into reliable data products.

Analyze incoming customer integration requests and EDI specifications across various end-to-end business flows (such as order-to-cash, order submissions, confirmations, invoicing, and other transactional flows). Perform the functional and technical data mapping to prepare detailed, ready-to-build specifications for the Boomi setup by integration engineers."

Functional Translation  
Translate validated business requirements into detailed functional tickets, bridging the gap between business needs and the Data Sharing Service.

SME Data Products        
Domain Expertise & Product Quality: Provide expert recommendations to improve internal data processes and quality for world-class "Run" and "Build" operations. Become an expert in TVH's core business knowledge, including all TVH data models, parts reference structures, and data modeling.

Strategic Scoping & operational excellence        
Collaborate with the Data Sharing Owner to strategically prioritize, analyze, and deliver data requests, ensuring strict alignment with the Data Sharing Framework, technical feasibility, and strategic business value. This role is key in introducing new and improved ways of working to become more efficient, resulting in shorter lead times and driving continuous operational improvements.

Competencies & knowledge     

Data Governance & Integrity     

Maintain a deep understanding of TVH data's strategic value, acting as its primary safeguard. Respect but also challenge internally the Data Sharing Framework rules to ensure proprietary data remains protected and prevent unauthorized data leakage.

Framework Evolution & Analysis             

Possess the professional assertiveness to challenge stakeholder requests that fall outside established framework boundaries. Proactively investigate the feasibility and strategic relevance of new data sharing scenarios to develop and integrate necessary guidelines.

Technical Core Skills      

"Demonstrate expert-level proficiency in SQL, GCP, and Google BigQuery for analyzing, building, and delivering datasets compatible with customer systems (Webshop, ERP, SmartEquip). Strong ability to translate complex business requirements into detailed, actionable functional tickets.

Strong analytical knowledge of EDI processes, flows, and formats (EDIFACT, ANSI X12, XML, cXML) with the ability to define and document data mapping logic to prepare for Boomi configurations."

Experience & Qualifications      

Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in relevant domains, such as data modeling or data process development. Proven track record of successfully delivering technical data solutions within a global complex & large scale data environment.

Business Acumen           

Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of the technical data needs for external customer integrations. Possess the analytical ability to discern strategic business scenarios from outliers, ensuring resources are consistently focused on high-value delivery. A commercial mindset and robust background in TVH's data, parts reference systems, and data model are essential.

Professional Traits         

Decisive, highly analytical, and results-driven. A collaborative and creative problem-solver with a strong bias for action and execution. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills are essential.
