Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Youth I/DD

JOB SUMMARY:

• Deliver health services to clients who are experiencing mental and physical conditions associated with mental illness.
• Utilizes the nursing process documentation and communication skills to collaborate with physicians and other team members.
• Provides nursing concepts and care plans to clients.
• Provides health education training as assigned, administration of medication, collecting samples for testing, monitoring, food & liquid input/output, preparing Injections/enemas, providing patient hygiene, taking vital signs.
• Cooperates with the licensee and Department of Human Services and staff in any inspection, inquiry or investigation.
• Performs other duties as deemed appropriate or needed by the supervisor.

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL & ABILITY:

• Degree from an accredited school of nursing.
• Valid New Jersey Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• Experience in the field of behavioral health is preferred.
• Current CPR/FA certificate.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must be able to successfully complete a physical, drug screen and background check.
• Valid driver’s license in state of residence with a good driving record.

SALARY:

• $30.69 to $32.96 per hour based on experience.
