As the Sustainability Impact Reporting & Insights Lead you will lead the intersection of sustainability strategy (ambitions and goals), impact measurement and analytics. You will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining sustainability dashboards for senior leadership including the Corporate Executive Committee (CEC), Corporate Sustainability Committee (CSC) and Priority Owners, translating complex sustainability data into clear, actionable executive insights on strategy implementation.
As another accountability, you will work and collaborate with the Sustainability Strategy Leads and the Corporate Sustainability Strategy Single Point Of Contacts (SPOCs) on specific Roche sustainability strategic priorities and enablers, and here specifically on the Roche Impact Measurement workstream where you will strongly contribute to fully establishing Roche’s economic, socio-economic and environmental footprint.
Additionally, you will serve as the Group-level strategic owner for external ESG ratings and benchmarks for e.g. the Access to Medicine Index (ATMi) and EcoVadis. You will translate external feedback into strategic improvements, safeguarding Roche’s external reputation while keeping executive leadership informed on performance against long-term sustainability goals.
The Opportunity:
Sustainability Dashboards and Insights
- Executive Insights and Analytics: Design, implement, and maintain the enterprise-level sustainability dashboards to deliver actionable insights to the CEC, CSC and Priority Owners.
- Performance Tracking and Insights: Monitor Group-wide progress against long-term goals, by translating quantitative sustainability data into strategic risk/opportunity assessments and high-stakes executive summaries.
- Data Synthesis & Storytelling: Partner with SPOCs, functions, SMEs, Finance, and Analytics (GDD) teams to integrate sustainability data into clear, visually compelling information.
Impact Measurement
- Partner with the Sustainability Strategy team to drive the impact measurement workstream, establishing a robust economic, socio-economic, and environmental footprint that links sustainability data to strategic needs in policy, advocacy, and commercial differentiation.
- Convert impact measurement outputs into actionable business intelligence, directly supporting cross-divisional strategy, policy advocacy, commercial differentiation, and investment decision-making.
- Partner with Sustainability Strategy Leads, SPOCs, and relevant functional experts to embed impact measurement into Roche's sustainability narrative and external reporting.
ESG Ratings & External Benchmark
- Ratings & External Benchmarking: Manage the submission for key ESG ratings such as Access to Medicine Index (ATMi) and EcoVadis.
- External Benchmarking and Roche Positioning: Benchmark Roche’s sustainability performance against industry peers, delivering data-driven strategic recommendations to cross-functional teams to elevate disclosures, global rankings, and operational impact. Ensure accurate representation of Roche's sustainability performance and governance practices.
Who You Are:
- Education: Master’s degree or MBA in Business Administration, Sustainability, Economics, Strategy, or a related discipline.
- Industry Experience: Proven experience in a business function, ideally in a global healthcare matrix environment and/or management consulting.
- Data and Digital Analytics: Experience and affinity with dashboard development and implementation using visualisation platforms (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) with an ability to distill complex Business and ESG metrics into clear strategic insights.
- Ratings & Benchmarking: In-depth expertise in global ESG rating frameworks and benchmarks.
- Strategic Vision: Ability to connect complex sustainability data and insights to business performance and other related business objectives.
- Cross-Functional Influence: Strong leadership, networking, and stakeholder management skills to drive alignment across cross-functional business teams (e.g., Access, HR, EHS, Investor Relations, Finance).
