DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES | About the role
As the Business Development Manager, you will:
- Build and strengthen relationships with existing, emerging, and strategic channel partners to drive engagement and long-term growth.
- Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities while supporting partners to grow healthy sales pipelines.
- Collaborate with reseller partners, vendor stakeholders, and internal teams to execute growth initiatives and achieve sales objectives.
- Facilitate partner training, enablement programs, and accreditation opportunities to enhance partner capability and market readiness.
- Support marketing campaigns, events, and demand-generation activities that create pipeline and increase market awareness.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, monitor pipeline performance, and provide regular forecasting, reporting, and market insights.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE | About you
The ideal Business Development Manager has:
- 2–5 years' experience in business development, sales, channel management, account management, or a similar commercial role.
- Experience within ICT, technology, cloud, software, cybersecurity, or distribution environments is highly regarded.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with partners, customers, and stakeholders.
- Proven experience working towards sales, revenue, or activity-based targets and achieving business growth outcomes.
- Strong communication, presentation, organisation, and time-management skills.
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, Commerce, Information Technology, or a related discipline preferred; relevant vendor certifications are advantageous.

This role is available to individuals with rights to work full-time in New Zealand. This role is based in Auckland, and while there is flexibility, there will be a component of face-to-face interaction with customers and vendors.
