Full time, 37.5 hours per week 
Monday to Friday

Every patient's experience of breast and women's health services is personal. That's why we're looking for a compassionate and experienced Department Manager to lead our Breast Unit and Women's Health service at The Wellington Hospital / Platinum Medical Centre. 

 

Our dedicated Breast Unit offers triple assessment clinics, advanced diagnostics and a seamless patient pathway, all delivered in a modern, supportive environment. What you’ll do: 

  • Provide clinical, operational and professional leadership for the Breast Unit and Women's Health service, ensuring safe, effective and high quality patient care 

  • Lead, motivate and develop a multidisciplinary team of 10 colleagues, creating a positive and supportive working environment 

  • Drive service development and quality improvement initiatives that enhance patient experience and clinical outcomes 

  • Build strong working relationships with consultants and multidisciplinary stakeholders to support seamless patient pathways 

  • Monitor governance, quality and performance measures, implementing appropriate actions to support continuous improvement 

 

What you’ll bring: 

  • Clinical background with current professional registration in a relevant healthcare profession 

  • Previous experience working within a breast service 

  • Proven track record of successfully managing a multidisciplinary team and supporting colleagues to deliver high quality care 

  • Operational and service management experience, including leading service improvements and influencing change 

  • Proven experience in service development, working closely with consultants and stakeholders across a multidisciplinary team environment to improve services and patient outcomes
