Western Slope Healthcare Center is looking for a reliable, energetic, and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our Dietary Services team. As a Dietary Aide, you'll play an important role in creating a positive dining experience for our residents by assisting with meal service, maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen, and supporting the dietary team.

What You'll Do
- Set up and prepare resident meal trays.
- Assist with serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks.
- Clear and wash returned trays, dishes, utensils, and cookware.
- Operate the commercial dishwasher safely and efficiently.
- Check and document dishwasher chlorine concentration and water temperatures.
- Prepare snacks and nourishments for residents.
- Sweep, mop, and maintain kitchen floors and work areas.
- Clean kitchen equipment, refrigerators, work surfaces, and serving areas.
- Put away food deliveries in a safe, organized, and sanitary manner.
- Remove trash and maintain a clean kitchen throughout the shift.
- Assist the Cook and Dietary Supervisor with daily kitchen operations.
- Participate in orientation and ongoing dietary department training.
- Work cooperatively with nursing staff and other departments to provide exceptional resident care.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Food service or healthcare dietary experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Ability to read recipes and follow written procedures.
- Strong attention to cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety.
- Food Handler Certificate required (or ability to obtain and maintain).
- Dependable, team-oriented, and committed to providing excellent customer service.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently stand and walk throughout the shift.
- Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
- Frequently push, pull, bend, reach, and perform cleaning duties.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail.
