Purpose of the role
To support business areas with day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, trading and issue resolution.
Accountabilities
- Support various business areas with day-to-day initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and issue resolution.
- Collaboration with teams across the bank to align and integrate operational processes.
- Identification of areas for improvement and providing recommendations in operational processes.
- Development and implementation of operational procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency.
- Development of reports and presentations on operational performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders.
- Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice in banking operations.
- Participation in projects and initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Overall purpose of role:
- Team manager overseeing the operation of the KYC team.
- Manage the team with respect to people, process, business and operations.
- Produce MIS for senior management.
- Act as a focal point for all queries that will be raised by the team.
- Ensure compliance of policies and procedures.
- Work with the team and assist them with their development.
You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in role such as:
- Set targets for the team and ensure SLA adherence for the team.
- Conduct regular briefings to help team understand process updates. Perform RCA on errors, identify gaps and work with the QC team to ensure that the team’s quality is top notch.
- Provide timely MIS for senior management consumption.
- Provide efficient leadership to the team and manage attrition rate within target levels.
- Ensure high levels of motivation among the team.
- Prepare development plans for every team member with a suitable/workable plan of action.
- Ensure robust communication with stakeholders in line with transparency and trust.
- Work with onshore teams to identify gaps and provide solutions on an ongoing basis.
- Aim to enhance the RFT approach of KYC team by co -ordinating with QC teams and effective Feedback.
Desirable Skillsets:
- Excellent written and verbal English language skills required along with in depth knowledge of Global KYC policies and procedures (End to End KYC Knowledge and Experience).
- E2E understanding of risk categorization (Standard, Medium and High Risk) and have required knowledge to hand hold the team members on regular queries/ be an advisor.
- Basic working knowledge of Sanctions, Risk categorization, PEP & customer categorization.
- Excellent track record during past work experience.
- In depth knowledge of Global KYC policies and procedures.
- End to End KYC Knowledge and Experience.
- Familiar with Allegations, Money Laundering, Sanction, Regulatory environment etc.
- Quick adapting to KYC program requirements.
- Team Handling experience.
- Proven KYC Operational Background/Experience of working with Financial Crime.
- Knowledge of regulatory and risk requirements relating to customers.
- Good Numerical Skills and positive attitude.
- Prior experience in Operations.
- Awareness of industry recognised process automation tool sets / capabilities.
