Description
Our client, a growing IT Services organization, is seeking a CPA-designated Assistant Controller to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on accounting professional looking to take the next step in their career within a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Prepare financial statements, account reconciliations, and supporting working papers.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Coordinate external audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
- Review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and general ledger activity.
- Support cash flow management, tax filings, and regulatory reporting.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting, and system efficiencies.
- Partner with leaders across the business to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
- CPA designation required.
- 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience from IT Services companies.
- Strong knowledge of full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- IT services, software, or technology industry experience is an asset.
