Part-Time OB Registration Nurse (RN)

Spectrum Healthcare Resources is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to join the OB-GYN Clinic at Dumfries Ambulatory Care Center. In this rewarding outpatient role, you'll provide essential nursing support for active-duty service members, military families, and other eligible beneficiaries throughout their prenatal and women's health journey.

Position Overview
As an OB Registration Nurse, you'll play a vital role in ensuring patients receive high-quality, compassionate care from their first prenatal visit through ongoing follow-up. This position combines clinical expertise with patient education, care coordination, and preventive women's health services.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct new OB patient intake, including creating patient records, obtaining comprehensive medical histories, ordering appropriate laboratory work, and providing prenatal education.
- Coordinate and manage colposcopy follow-up and abnormal Pap smear tracking.
- Assess patients' physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs using sound clinical judgment.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Educate patients on pregnancy, preventive health, and treatment plans.
- Monitor patient progress and modify care plans as needed.
- Promote patient safety, quality improvement initiatives, and regulatory compliance.
- Deliver exceptional, patient-centered care while maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in any U.S. state or participating Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
- Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Minimum of 2 years of Registered Nurse experience.
- Previous OB/Women's Health nursing experience required.
- Associate Degree or Nursing Diploma required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.
- Ability to work a regular daytime schedule, with availability on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.
- Strong understanding of outpatient clinical operations and medical office workflows.

Competitive Compensation, with an estimated starting income of $38.00/hr to $43.00/hr.
