Description
The Corporate Planning & Business Intelligence Senior Manager is responsible for leading the organization's corporate planning, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), business intelligence, and strategic initiatives. This role provides executive leadership with data-driven insights, financial analysis, and strategic recommendations that support business growth, operational excellence, and long-term organizational objectives.
The role partners closely with senior leadership to evaluate business performance, identify opportunities for expansion and improvement, optimize resource allocation, and develop strategies that enhance profitability and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the organization's corporate planning, strategic planning, annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range business planning processes.
- Develop financial models and strategic roadmaps to support business growth, expansion initiatives, and capital planning.
- Oversee the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, and Corporate Planning functions.
- Develop executive dashboards, performance scorecards, KPI reports, and management reports that provide meaningful business insights.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, profitability, cash flow, working capital, operational efficiency, and business performance across multiple business units or locations.
- Conduct financial and operational analyses to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for business improvement.
- Evaluate business cases related to expansion projects, capital investments, new products, strategic partnerships, technology initiatives, and other corporate investments.
- Establish and enhance enterprise-wide performance measurement frameworks, KPI governance, reporting standards, and data quality initiatives.
- Prepare executive presentations, strategic reports, and analytical materials for senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
- Support strategic investment initiatives, business valuations, capital planning, due diligence activities, and other corporate finance projects as required.
- Translate complex financial, operational, and market data into clear business recommendations that support executive decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align strategic objectives, financial goals, and operational initiatives across the organization.
- Drive continuous improvement in business reporting, planning processes, analytics capabilities, and decision-support systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accountancy, Economics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Data Science, Management, or a related field.
- MBA, CPA, CFA, CMA, or other relevant postgraduate qualifications or professional certifications are an advantage.
- At least 10 years of progressive experience in Corporate Planning, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Business Intelligence, Strategy, Investment Analysis, Corporate Finance, or Management Consulting.
- Minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership or department management role.
- Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, business performance analysis, and executive reporting.
- Demonstrated experience supporting executive leadership through strategic planning and business decision support.
- Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams in finance, analytics, business intelligence, or corporate planning.
- Experience with capital investments, mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, business valuation, or corporate finance initiatives is highly advantageous.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and other business intelligence or data visualization tools.
- Experience within multi-site or large-scale organizations in retail, automotive, consumer finance, manufacturing, banking, distribution, or similar industries is preferred.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence executive decision-making.
