What you’ll do:
As a Principal Designer in Physical Design, you will be driving the development of form language and experience, collaborating closely with Digital Design for a holistic design, and leading with advanced expertise in creative sprints/workshops. In this position, you are a specialist in your field of expertise and a mentor to upcoming designers. Your focus is on design quality and you foster a culture of design critique within the team, reassuring that the objective of the challenge is to drive decision making.
In detail, you will:
- You are helping to shape the agenda and steering the conversation around your specialty within a range of projects, and responsible for informing processes and approaches to solve problems and leading others to solutions.
- Understanding and interpreting design briefs, sketches, or concept art to develop 3D designs that meet the project requirements.
- Working closely with other members of the creative team, manage multiple projects in different stages at the same time, build the bridges between design and the other technical areas like internal R&D, Manufacturing, and external suppliers.
- Providing feedback on designs and making necessary revisions to refine and improve the visual quality of the 3D models.
- Staying updated with the latest trends, techniques, and software tools in 3D design to maintain high standards of quality and efficiency.
As part of the culture of continuous improvement, you will be involved in Lean Thinking projects and activities (EMS/EAI).
Who you are:
- You have a degree or higher-level qualification in a relevant design or engineer
- Relevant experience in home appliance products or automotive industries with a proven track record of excellent design performance in previous positions.
- Highly developed computer design skills: Alias, Rhino, CatiaV5, Illustrator, Photoshop, Keyshot and other relevant design softwares.
- Organized to deal with several projects at the same time.
- Has developed in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge/expertise in one or more than one area.
- Advanced English. Spanish is a plus.
- All candidates MUST submit a portfolio/personal website to be considered for this position.
