Description
The successful candidate will possess a unique combination of strategic vision, commercial acumen, operational expertise, and leadership capability. They will be expected to evaluate market dynamics, anticipate industry shifts, and translate emerging trends into actionable business opportunities that create sustainable competitive advantages. As the telecommunications landscape continues to evolve, this individual will play a critical role in helping the organization leverage Artificial Intelligence, automation, advanced analytics, and digital transformation initiatives to improve customer experiences, streamline operations, and unlock new revenue streams.
This role requires deep expertise within the MVNO ecosystem, including carrier relationships, connectivity platforms, customer lifecycle management, onboarding processes, partner enablement, network operations, and the regulatory environment governing telecommunications services. The Director must possess the ability to operate as a business-to-technology translator, understanding technical architecture, platform capabilities, APIs, integration requirements, and operational constraints while ensuring decisions optimize business value, customer experience, scalability, and profitability.
The Director will lead complex cross-functional programs and strategic initiatives involving multiple internal stakeholders, external partners, executive sponsors, and operational teams. Success in this role requires exceptional program and project leadership skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities, navigate organizational complexity, and drive execution across interconnected workstreams with significant dependencies. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguous environments, takes ownership of critical business outcomes, establishes accountability across teams, and consistently delivers results with minimal supervision.
As a senior business leader, the Director will oversee the negotiation and execution of complex commercial agreements, strategic partnerships, and ecosystem relationships. This individual will work closely with Legal, Finance, Product, Technology, Operations, and Executive Leadership to ensure contractual frameworks appropriately balance growth objectives, customer needs, operational feasibility, risk management, and long-term strategic value. The role requires a strong understanding of contract structures, commercial negotiations, governance models, and partner management practices.
The Director must also possess exceptional communication, facilitation, financial acumen, and executive storytelling capabilities. They will be responsible for translating complex technical, operational, and commercial concepts into clear strategic recommendations that enable executive decision-making. Through influence and collaboration, the individual will align diverse stakeholder groups, frame critical business decisions, and drive consensus across senior leadership teams, customers, and strategic partners.
Additionally, this role requires a proven people leader capable of building, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams. The Director will foster a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement while empowering employees to solve complex business challenges and deliver measurable results. They will be responsible for attracting top talent, developing future leaders, and creating an environment that encourages strategic thinking, operational excellence, and customer-centric decision making.
The ideal candidate combines a strong strategy background with extensive business development experience, deep telecommunications and MVNO knowledge, expertise in commercial contracting, and a demonstrated track record of improving customer and partner experiences through scalable, repeatable product and operational approaches. They are equally comfortable discussing market strategy with executives, negotiating commercial terms with partners, evaluating technology solutions with engineers, and leading teams through transformational change.
Ultimately, this leader will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, helping shape the future direction of the MVNO business while ensuring innovative ideas are translated into measurable business outcomes that strengthen the organization's competitive position, accelerate growth, and create lasting value for customers, partners, and shareholders.
