What You'll Do
As our Safety Coordinator, you'll be responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving safety programs throughout our manufacturing facilities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Develop, write, implement, and maintain OSHA-compliant safety programs and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other applicable regulations.
- Conduct routine safety inspections, hazard assessments, and risk analyses throughout production areas.
- Track and report safety metrics including incident rates and corrective action completion.
- Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS), PPE programs, lockout/tagout procedures, permits, and safety documentation.
- Coordinate and conduct safety training, toolbox talks, and ongoing employee education.
- Manage contractor safety requirements and monitor compliance while on-site.
- Coordinate emergency response planning, drills, and communication with local emergency agencies.
- Support OSHA inspections, audits, and regulatory visits.
- Maintain inventory of PPE and safety supplies.
- Partner with HR, Production, HR, Engineering, Maintenance, and Leadership to promote a proactive safety culture.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that reduce risk and improve workplace safety.
- 2+ years of occupational safety experience in manufacturing, marine manufacturing, heavy industrial, or similar environments.
- Experience developing and implementing workplace safety programs.
- Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and safety best practices.
- Experience conducting incident investigations and root cause analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Experience with safety management software is a plus.
- Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Environmental Health, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- CSP, OSHA 30, CIH, or other professional safety certifications preferred.
- Knowledge of marine manufacturing, ABYC, USCG, or maritime safety standards is a plus.

- Must be able to wear required PPE.
- Frequent walking, climbing ladders, standing, and occasional lifting.
- Occasional travel between facilities or suppliers may be required.
