District and The Knox Apartments are seeking a professional Full-time leasing Consultant to join their team in Bloomington, MN. The Leasing Consultant is responsible for representing the community to prospective residents, leasing apartment homes, and providing exceptional customer service to current and future residents. This role focuses on achieving occupancy and revenue goals by effectively marketing the community, conducting property tours, executing leases, and fostering positive resident relationships. The ideal candidate is sales-oriented, customer-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced property environment.
Working Hours:
Typically, FT38, Tuesday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, Saturday 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. Property office hours may vary from property to property. You may be asked to flex your schedule to meet the demands of the business.

Key Responsibilities
Leasing & Sales Activities
- Maintain current knowledge of apartment availability, pricing, floor plans, and community features
- Greet prospective residents in person, by phone, and electronically
- Assess prospects’ needs and present appropriate housing options
- Conduct property and apartment tours, highlighting amenities and features
- Accurately complete guest cards and maintain prospect data in the property management system
- Follow up with prospects in a timely manner and maintain consistent sales follow-through
- Prepare and process lease applications and leasing documentation accurately and on time
- Explain lease terms, policies, and community rules to new and renewing residents
Marketing & Occupancy Support
- Support the community’s lease renewal program and maximize resident retention
- Assist with preparation of marketing materials, flyers, and outreach efforts
- Prepare property and move-in packets
- Monitor and report leasing activity and trends as requested
Resident Relations & Office Support
- Provide excellent customer service to residents and visitors
- Assist with day-to-day office operations and community activities
- Work closely with the Property Manager and Assistant Property Manager to ensure units are ready for move-in
- Assume responsibility for front office operations when management is off-site
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required
Administrative & Compliance Responsibilities
- Follow established policies for applicant qualification, screening, and acceptance
- Maintain confidentiality of resident, financial, and company information
- Ensure compliance with company policies and fair housing requirements
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 0–2 years of leasing, sales, or customer service experience
- Strong interpersonal and sales skills with ability to close leases
- Basic knowledge of leasing practices and customer service principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365; property systems experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment
