JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Summary:
To oversee and manage the production lines to ensure alignment with the organization's SQDCI goals. This includes efficient team leadership, optimal resource utilization, systemic problem-solving, and continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.
Major Responsibilities:
🔹 Safety (S)
- Supervise and promote a strong 'Zero Harm' culture on the shop floor.
- Ensure Job Risk Assessment (JRA) reviews are performed and that all employees comply strictly with safety protocols.
- Report and investigate all near-miss incidents and accidents; collaborate with EHSS team to implement preventive measures.
- Daily Gemba walk to understand real situation.
🔹 Quality (Q)
- Control production quality in accordance with Job Instruction Breakdown (JIB), and customer specifications.
- Analyze and monitor defects from in-line, in-process, and final quality assurance (OQA) inspections.
- Promote KAIZEN and JDI activities, root cause analysis, and standardization initiatives in coordination with the cross functional team by using RBS Tool.
- Skill matrix improvement of associates in the team.
🔹 Delivery (D)
- Manage daily output to meet schedules in coordination with the planning team.
- Monitor output, first pass yield, and downtime while identifying gaps and implementing corrective actions.
- Supervise efficient changeovers to minimize setup time and downtime.
🔹 Cost (C)
- Analyze and control production costs, including scrap, rework, man-hours, and overtime.
- Monitor consumption of consumables and spare parts; manage assigned budgets efficiently.
- Support cost reduction initiatives in collaboration with engineering and procurement teams.
- Manpower utilization to meet the high efficiency and productivity
- Lead with data, use data analysis technique with excel/Bi to identify opportunities and changes.
🔹 Inventory & Improvement (I)
- Manage and maintain accurate Work-in-Process (WIP) records using Oracle ERP, ensuring consistency with actual shop floor conditions.
- Record material movements, WIP, and finished goods (FG) accurately and on time through the ERP system.
- Coordinate with Warehouse, Planner and Buer team to ensure material availability, allocation, and picking accuracy.
- Investigate stock variances and implement corrective actions.
- Participate in cycle counts using ERP data.
- Drive Kaizen, Lean, QCC, and waste-reduction activities.
- Analyze performance metrics (e.g., OEE, cycle time) to develop production line efficiency.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
Required Education / Experience / Skills:
🎓 Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical), Industrial Technology, Science, or related fields.
- Additional certifications in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Production Management are advantageous.
🧠 Experience:
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing or production field.
- At least 1–2 years in a supervisory or team leader role, preferably in assembly, machining, or related operations.
- Hands-on experience in implementing Kaizen, Lean, or continuous improvement projects.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, especially Oracle, SAP, or similar platforms are advantageous.
Language:
- Good English language in communication, reading and writing.
