Description
- Plan weekly menus that offer a variety of flavors and textures while adhering to dietary guidelines and restrictions.
- Prepare banquet-style meals from scratch using fresh, seasonal ingredients, with an emphasis on quality and taste.
- Ensure that food presentation is visually appealing and meets the standards of fine dining.
- Work closely with the kitchen team, to ensure smooth operations and efficient meal service.
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed, while minimizing waste and controlling costs.
- Adhere to sanitation and food safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment at all times.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a chef in a professional kitchen, preferably in a healthcare or assisted living setting.
- Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and flavor profiles.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor kitchen staff.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of dietary restrictions and food allergies, with the ability to accommodate special dietary needs.
- Certification in food safety and sanitation is preferred.
