Job Description:

Provides anesthesia pain management within acute pain services to geographical areas align with Intermountain Healthcare's mission, vision, and values. Supports processes and improves collaboration at the system and local geographic location levels to promote the highest level of quality care and outcomes.

Scope

This is a clinical role within the One Intermountain structure. Success in this role requires key organizational relationships within Intermountain Healthcare.

Job Essentials

Quality Care:
Follows facility and system level procedures and processes.
Monitors outcomes related to patient care to ensure quality is continually improved upon.
Develops a culture of continuous improvement within the anesthesia department related to pain management and other services provided at the facility.
Expands services to pre and post-operative areas to coordinate high risk patient treatment plans for the best outcomes.

Patient Experience:
Reviews patient experience survey data within service line. Monitors and reports results to all relevant providers and administration leaders.
Contributes to implementation of ideas to improve the patient experience across the continuum.

Minimum Qualifications

Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree. Education must be obtained through an ACGME or AOA accredited institution. Degree will be verified.

Active Idaho Medical Licensure, or in process of obtaining licensure, is required.

Must have privileges at one of the hospitals in the region they represent.

Three years of clinical experience in a surgical service practice setting,
- and -
Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Three years of experience leading successful improvement in clinical settings.

Three years of progressive healthcare leadership experience.
- and -
Experience with change management and providing leadership in the adaptation and implementation of new processes or technology that enhance safety.
- and -
Experience leading clinicians.
- and -
Certified in healthcare communication, coaching, or an equivalent experience with external entities that drive and support Experience of Care approaches and standards, including government agencies, academic institutions, universities, related organizations of higher education, and other public institutions.
 

Interact with others requiring employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information.
- and -
Operate computers, telephones, office equipment, and manipulate paper requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.
- and -
See and read computer monitors and documents.
- and -
Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. 

$7.25 - $999.99
