About the Department
The Wholesale Banking function operates a dynamic business model that provides financial services and solutions to help our clients achieve their strategic business objectives. Our mission is to become the premier-provider of banking services and solutions for Asia-based commercial banking companies (small medium enterprises), large corporations, financial institutions as well as multinational corporations. Our coverage teams work in full alignment with specialised teams across Transaction Banking, Investment Banking, Global Markets and Group Retail to deliver seamless solutions to our clients.
Overview of the Role
- Primary responsible for providing direct sales support on post origination activities like documentation, reporting, etc. by engaging with client, legal, compliance, etc.
- Active engagement with client and with product partners to ensure high level of utilization of regular limits.
- Work with the RM on a specified client portfolio and jointly responsible for the revenue growth
- Ensure high standards of hygiene including operational risk, portfolio management and credit risk in the portfolio
Job Requirements
Origination:
- Assist RM in origination by preparing pitch book, industry leads, etc.
- Assist RM and CA in preparing briefing notes for senior management visits.
- Document the client meetings attended by preparing call reports.
- Work in partnership with FM regarding on any request for FX trading or ISDA documents
Client on-onboarding & deal execution:
- Assist RM in liaising with clients and Legal and Compliance and to resolve documentation issues like deviation from standard documents.
- Obtain approval for modification in standard documentation wherever necessary from appropriate approval authority.
- Ensure documentation is completed and the limits loaded properly to ensure faster execution of the transaction.
- Work with CFS Onboarding to ensure CDD are created and renewed on time.
- Seek approval from various authorities for exceptional transactions.
Account Management and portfolio quality:
- Actively engage with client and product partners to ensure high level of utilization of regular limits.
- Work closely with product partners for coordinating client training for non-lending products
- Track past dues and excesses in the portfolio meticulously and ensure they are regularized on time.
- Co-ordinate with operations for rectifying any operation related issues
- Liaise with other banks for information sharing and seeking opinion reports and respond to Non-Objection Comments request from other banks.
- Liaise with GRM for day to day account maintenance and operational issues.
- Arrange for stock inspection. Valuation
- Ensure correctness of data in all relevant systems
- Track and action on all failed transactional report
- Ensure compliance of all internal/ regulatory policies and regulations.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree, experience from 3-4 years with banking industry
- Proficient in MS office – Excel, Word, Power-point
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive and good team player
- Able to work in a fast paced environment
