Job Description
Madrid, Barcelona or Germany | Permanent | Hybrid
Do you want to shape pricing strategy and drive commercial competitiveness for one of the world's leading renewable energy businesses?
GE Vernova is looking for an exceptional EMEA Competitiveness Leader to join our Onshore Wind commercial team, based in Madrid, Barcelona or Germany.
GE Vernova – The Energy to Change the World
With over 130 years of experience and proven innovation, GE Vernova is leading a new era of energy. We are electrifying the world while working to decarbonise it. Our name reflects our mission. "GE" carries a legacy of quality and ingenuity. "Ver" signals Earth's lush ecosystems, while "Nova" nods to a new era of lower-carbon energy we are helping to deliver.
Focused on the future, GE Vernova is accelerating the shift to reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy. We help customers power economies and deliver electricity vital to health, safety, and quality of life.
Wind energy is essential to a low-carbon future. We design and build advanced Offshore and Onshore Wind technologies, as well as high-performing Wind Turbine Blades, to capture the power of nature and turn it into progress.
---------------------------------------------------------
Let's Talk about the Role
The EMEA Competitiveness Leader sits at the intersection of strategic pricing, commercial analytics, competitive intelligence and deal economics — playing a pivotal role in how GE Vernova's Onshore Wind business wins in the market.
You will partner closely with Sales, Commercial Operations, Commercial Risk, Product Line, Engineering and Marketing teams across the EMEA region, providing pricing guidance, competitive insight and strategic recommendations that directly influence commercial outcomes. This is a highly cross-functional, individually contributing role with strong regional visibility — and an opportunity to make a real difference in the energy transition.
---------------------------------------------------------
How You Will Make a Difference
- Driving strategic deal-level pricing recommendations throughout the bid and ITO process, ensuring GE Vernova remains competitive and commercially sound across EMEA markets
- Leading regular pricing and competitiveness calls with Sales and Commercial teams, ensuring decisions, assumptions and actions are clearly documented and governed
- Building systematic win/loss analysis processes — capturing bid outcomes, customer feedback and competitor intelligence to understand what drives success and where improvements can be made
- Creating compelling competitiveness reports and insights for senior leadership, translating complex pricing trends and market data into clear, actionable commercial recommendations
- Collaborating with Product Line teams to support new product introduction business cases, profitability analysis and market-based pricing strategies
- Influencing stakeholders across multiple functions and seniority levels — bringing data-driven perspectives to commercial decision-making and challenging assumptions where it matters
- Improving pricing discipline and governance, including controls around discounting, pricing approvals and the integrity of opportunity data in commercial tools
---------------------------------------------------------
Skills for Success
You should be a commercially confident, analytically strong professional with a passion for competitive strategy and a talent for turning insight into action, with:
- Substantive experience in commercial, pricing, product line, commercial operations, commercial finance or market intelligence roles within complex B2B environments
- The ability to work confidently with pricing data, commercial models, financial information and market intelligence to support bid decisions and competitive strategy
- A strong understanding of the relationship between price, customer value, competitiveness and profitability — and how to balance these in a challenging commercial environment
- The capability to communicate complex pricing and market concepts clearly to senior stakeholders across different functions, and to influence outcomes with credibility and confidence
- Experience working cross-functionally with teams such as Sales, Commercial Operations, Product Line, Marketing, Finance or Engineering
- Fluency in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills
- The willingness to travel occasionally across the EMEA region (approximately 10% of the time)
A formal education and a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, Business or a related discipline is a nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.
---------------------------------------------------------
Beneficial but not essential:
- Experience in Onshore Wind, renewable energy, power generation or a complex industrial or infrastructure sector
- Familiarity with Salesforce (SFDC) or similar CRM platforms
- Experience with economic modelling, pricing analytics or reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large, complex datasets
- German or Spanish language skills, depending on your location
---------------------------------------------------------
Where and How You'll Work
This is a permanent position. We have a hybrid working model which gives you the flexibility to work from our offices and from home. This role can be based in Madrid, Barcelona or Germany — location within Germany is flexible depending on business requirements.
---------------------------------------------------------
