This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on execution, ensuring that investment products, market onboarding, the operating model and platform capabilities are fully aligned with ING’s global investment strategy.
The team
Global Investment Center is at the heart of our retail growth strategy, with over €250bn in investment balances, and an ambitious target to double our fee income in 5 years.
The Global Investment Centre acts as a central integration and orchestration hub within ING’s investment ecosystem. The team operates as the Group’s asset manager and at the intersection of the local markets, technology platforms, and external partners, ensuring consistent and scalable investment capabilities across countries.
We combine deep expertise in investment products, portfolio management, and international deployment, and play a critical role in translating strategic ambitions into concrete solutions across the investment value chain. The team is also actively involved in shaping and executing strategic change initiatives, including business model evolution, proposition development, and target operating model design.
You will be part of a high-impact, cross-border team responsible for scaling investment capabilities, onboarding new markets, and ensuring seamless integration of products and platforms across ING countries.
Roles and responsibilities
- Drive and coordinate strategic change initiatives related to the investment business model, product proposition, and operating model
- Lead and coordinate onboarding of new markets and investment products into the Global Investment Centre operating model
- Act as a key interface between portfolio management, product, technology, and local market teams to ensure smooth delivery
- Support rollout and optimisation of portfolio management systems (e.g. Aladdin) across ING markets including M&A entities
- Ensure alignment of onboarding and product changes with investment product manufacturing standards and governance frameworks
- Manage and execute post-merger integration (PMI) activities related to investment products and platforms where applicable
- Identify and drive opportunities for standardisation, scalability, and efficiency gains across markets
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g. MiFID II, UCITS/AIFMD frameworks) in product onboarding and change processes
- Monitor delivery progress, dependencies and risks, and provide clear reporting to senior stakeholders
- Collaborate across global and local teams to align priorities, timelines, and execution
How to succeed
About you:
- Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
- Proven experience in investment product manufacturing and lifecycle management
- Contribute to the design, implementation, and optimisation of the investment platform ecosystem, ensuring seamless integration across systems and marketsHands-on experience with portfolio management systems (preferably Aladdin)
- Strong track record in product onboarding, product change or implementation roles
- Experience in post-merger integration (PMI) and/or large-scale transformation programmes
- Proven track record of driving and implementing strategic Asset management value chain change initiatives
- Extensive knowledge of divers legal fund structures and hands-on director-level governance experience
- Proven international experience, working across multiple markets and stakeholders
- Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills, with ability to work across business and technology teams
- Structured, delivery-focused mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, global environment and manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills, with ability to translate complex topics into clear actions
