Lorien Taneytown is looking for a creative, energetic, and compassionate Activities Assistant to join our team! If you enjoy bringing smiles to others, planning engaging activities, and creating meaningful experiences for seniors, we'd love to meet you.

As an Activities Assistant, you'll help plan and lead recreational, social, and therapeutic activities that enhance our residents' quality of life while encouraging participation, creativity, and fun every day.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and leading daily activities and special events
• Encourage resident participation in group and individual programs
• Help decorate for holidays, celebrations, and themed events
• Escort residents to and from activities as needed
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and families
• Maintain activity supplies and assist with program setup and cleanup
• Document resident attendance and participation
• Work closely with the interdisciplinary team to provide an exceptional resident experience

Qualifications

• Full Time Hours
• Schedule:  9a-5p
• Every-other weekend required (Saturday and Sunday)
• Ability to safely lift, push, and pull up to 25–50 pounds as part of daily job responsibilities, with or without reasonable accomodation.

   

• Healthcare experience is a HUGE plus!

We are a Nursing Home and Assisted Living community that offers skilled nursing and rehabilitation services, in and outpatient therapy.
