Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a GxP Technician I to support laboratory operations for a leading life sciences client in Rahway, New Jersey. Working under the direction of the GxP Manager, this role provides essential support to research and manufacturing environments through GxP-compliant cleaning, materials handling, waste management, and laboratory logistics. The successful candidate will help ensure laboratory operations remain safe, compliant, and efficient while adhering to GMP/GxP standards and established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and enjoys supporting scientific operations in a highly regulated environment.

What You'll Do

  • Perform GxP-compliant cleaning and sanitization of laboratories, production areas, and controlled environments following established SOPs.
  • Receive, sort, scan, and deliver laboratory supplies, research materials, equipment, compressed gases, and dry ice to support daily operations.
  • Collect, label, and prepare hazardous and non-hazardous waste for disposal while ensuring compliance with RCRA, DOT, GMP/GxP, and company procedures.
  • Support laboratory logistics through inventory replenishment, sample transport, equipment moves, and general operational support.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, report safety or equipment concerns, and provide exceptional customer service while supporting audits and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent with 0–2 years of experience in laboratory support, warehouse, manufacturing, or operations.
  • Basic knowledge of GMP/GxP environments with the ability to follow detailed SOPs and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Basic computer skills and experience using inventory, tracking, or work order systems.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to obtain and maintain DOT and RCRA certifications (training provided).
  • Strong attention to detail, commitment to safety, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work in laboratory and controlled environments while wearing required PPE.
