Team Overview:
Global Marketing Operations serves as a critical business enablement function supporting the creation, governance, maintenance, automation, and distribution of marketing collateral, digital content, and client communications across global regions and product platforms. The team partners closely with Global Business Development Services, Product Marketing, Investment Teams, Compliance, Legal, Technology, and Distribution teams to ensure accuracy, scalability, operational excellence, and speed-to-market.
Position Overview
We are seeking an Executive Director to lead Global Marketing Operations team. This individual will be responsible for driving operational excellence across the global marketing platform while advancing the firm's automation, artificial intelligence, data governance, and digital transformation agenda.
The successful candidate will lead Global Marketing Operations team to support marketing collateral production, data operations, workflow optimization and technology-driven transformation. In addition, will also work closely with Global Business Development Services and Digital Marketing. The role requires a proven leader with deep investment management experience, strong executive presence, and a demonstrated ability to scale global operations through technology, automation, and process innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the global strategy for Marketing Operations, Data Management, Automation, and Business Transformation.
- Develop a multi-year roadmap focused on operational excellence, AI adoption, scalable operating models, and digital transformation.
- Lead enterprise-wide initiatives leveraging AI, automation, analytics, and emerging technologies to improve productivity, risk management, client experience, and operational effectiveness.
- Establish governance frameworks supporting responsible AI adoption, operational controls, data integrity, and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee the end-to-end production, governance, and distribution of global marketing collateral, digital assets, and client communications across regions, products, and languages.
- Lead global operational functions supporting Global Business Development Services, Product Marketing, Investment Teams, Sales, Distribution, and Digital Marketing organizations.
- Drive continuous improvement through process optimization, automation, service delivery enhancements, and scalable operating models.
- Own marketing data governance, data quality, reference data controls, and operational data management supporting marketing and digital platforms.
- Strengthen quality assurance, risk management, operational controls, and enterprise-wide governance standards.
- Partner with Technology, Data, and Digital teams to advance marketing technology, workflow platforms, content management, and reporting capabilities.
- Champion innovation and digital-first operating models that enhance scalability, resilience, efficiency, and stakeholder experience.
- Build strong partnerships across global business functions and influence senior leadership through data-driven insights, executive reporting, and strategic initiatives.
- Represent Marketing Operations in executive forums, governance committees, and strategic planning discussions.
- Establish and monitor KPIs, SLAs, management reporting, and performance frameworks to drive organizational effectiveness and operational excellence.
Required Experience
- 15+ years of experience within Asset/Investment Management and Wealth Management.
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience managing large global teams and operational functions.
- 10+ years of experience operating within a Global Capability Center (GCC), Global In-house Center (GIC), or shared services environment.
- Demonstrated success leading organizations of 30+ professionals across multiple geographies and functional disciplines.
- Proven track record of partnering with senior executives and managing complex global stakeholder environments.
- Significant experience leading large-scale transformation, automation, and digital enablement initiatives.
- Deep understanding of investment products, marketing collateral, client communications, distribution channels, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong knowledge of marketing operations, data governance, workflow management, quality assurance practices, and operational risk frameworks.
- Experience establishing and leading metrics-driven organizations with a strong focus on operational performance and service excellence.
- Experience implementing AI, business process automation, workflow orchestration, advanced analytics, or digital transformation programs.
- Experience operating within highly regulated financial services environment
- Experience with marketing technology platforms, content management systems, and digital asset management solutions.
- Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Seismic, workflow management platforms, and related marketing technologies.
- Familiarity with financial data providers and platforms such as Bloomberg, Morningstar, FactSet, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of data governance, reporting, analytics, and visualization solutions.
- Proficiency with business intelligence and data reporting tools.
- MBA or equivalent advanced business degree preferred.
- Experience leading Marketing Operations within a global asset management organization.
- Experience managing global content production, collateral governance, digital marketing operations, and client communications.
- Experience leading enterprise-wide transformation programs involving AI, automation, workflow modernization, and operational redesign.
