Description
EA Talent Solutions has been engaged by our client, a beloved LA-based fast-casual rotisserie chicken concept established in 1991, who is seeking a sharp and resourceful Project Director to directly support the company owner and founder. This is a new, out-of-the-box role — not a traditional executive assistant position — blending business strategy support, research and reporting, vendor/supply chain management, light HR support, and occasional personal task assistance. The Project Director will work closely with the owner and leadership team to help streamline operations and drive the business forward as the company continues to grow. This position is fully in office, with occasional local travel to restaurant locations.
Responsibilities
- Support the owner in managing priorities, staying organized, and being more strategic in his daily approach to the business
- Improve cross-team communication and help streamline how decisions and new ideas move through the organization
- Follow up at restaurant locations to ensure new initiatives and changes are being implemented
- Lead detailed research projects and put together clear, comprehensive reports and proposals to support business decisions
- Take the lead on select vendor/purchasing initiatives — sourcing products, materials, and distributors, and liaising with vendors through to completion
- Provide light support on HR/legal matters as needed, helping improve response time and efficiency on employment-related issues
- Troubleshoot basic office technology and systems issues as they arise
- Offer input and ideas on ways to improve the business as familiarity with operations grows
- Provide occasional personal task support for the owner, such as research projects, vendor comparisons, and scheduling assistance
Qualifications
- Highly self-motivated, detail-oriented, and resourceful, with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Quick learner who is comfortable wearing many hats and managing multiple competing priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Coachable — able to take feedback once and apply it going forward without needing repeated correction
- General tech savviness and comfort troubleshooting everyday office issues; familiarity with POS systems a plus
- Strong working knowledge of Excel and general office systems
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, small-company environment with shifting priorities
- Prior experience in a fast-paced, multifaceted support role (restaurant, hospitality, or small/family-run business background a plus)
