Other training as determined by AES.Benefits: PTO & Holidays; Health, Dental & Vision Insurance available above 30 hrs / weekAdditional Compensation and Review Periods:REVIEW PERIODS: EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE:1-month, 3-month, 6-month, Annual thereafter High school diploma or GED required.Formal vocational training is preferred.Job Description• Mechanically inclined.• Must be comfortable working in all types of weather and locations.• Comfortable working on your own in remote locations.• Experience operating a backhoe, helpful, not required.• Regional overnight stays possible.• Proficient with Microsoft office and basic office skills, such as printing, scanning, etc.• Driver’s License Required with Clean Driving Record.ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES• Assist with assessments/investigations of soil and groundwater for petroleum releases associated with oil/gas production locations in the Farmington/Four Corners Region.• Wastewater sampling and processing.• Groundwater monitoring and sampling.• Stormwater inspections, monitoring and sampling.• Drinking water well sampling – certification required. Will be covered by AES.• SPCC inspections.• Accurately and legibly record field notes and data.• Operate GPS.1Company Name• Good field mapping skills (hand sketched and scaled maps).• Lift and carry field equipment (up to about 50 lbs or more). Use hand auger, shovel, etc. and other sampling equipment to obtain soil or groundwater samples.• Operate field screening equipment including OVM, TPH analyzer, mercury vapor meter, etc.• Operate company vehicle according to established policies and maintain a clean driving record.• Be able to pull and back up a utility trailer safely.• Navigate on oil and gas access roads and locate remote well sites using GPS or map programs.• Help maintain inventory of field supplies.• Prepare equipment, materials, and supplies for field work.• Know how to calibrate and maintain field equipment.• Be comfortable working both independently and with team members to successfully complete projects.• Ability to attend training classes as directed by AES and pass certification exams.PHYSICAL DEMANDS Must be able to drive to project sites within the San Juan Basin, up to 3 hours each way in a day, lift 25 - 50 lbs. and be comfortable with the use and maintenance of field equipment. Must be able to pass a Drug & Alcohol screening upon hire and on a random basis after hire.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has no supervisory responsibilities.POSITION TYPE AND HOURS OF WORK: This position is based in the Farmington, NM office and standard office hours are M – F, 8:00AM – 5:00PM.Hours may vary depending on project demands, project locations and the need for field work.2COVID-19 precautionsSanitizing, disinfecting, or cleaning procedures in place
