A well-funded startup which develops a GenAI data analytics platform is looking for a driven, motivated Senior AI Engineer to join its small, high-performing team to research, design, build, and deploy production-grade agentic AI systems using state-of-the-art LLMs.

Key Responsibilities
- Research, design, build, and deploy production-grade agentic AI systems using state-of-the-art LLMs to solve complex data analysis and decision-making challenges
- Architect and optimize LLM-powered agents for performance, reliability, and scalability, with deep focus on reasoning chains, tool orchestration, planning loops, memory systems, and autonomous task execution
- Drive continuous innovation by staying at the cutting edge of LLM capabilities, agentic AI research, and emerging frameworks
- Build robust engineering infrastructure around LLM agents including evaluation frameworks, observability tools, and production monitoring systems
- Collaborate within a dynamic and fast-paced team to create and integrate AI technologies in our product
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience designing, developing, and maintaining highly scalable, distributed systems
- 2+ years of hands-on experience building with LLMs in production, including deep expertise in agentic workflows, prompt engineering, and autonomous agent design patterns
- Strong understanding of LLM fundamentals: how models work, their capabilities and limitations, context windows, reasoning patterns
- Passion for staying current with the rapidly evolving LLM landscape
- Expert-level Python programming skills with strong software engineering fundamentals
- Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), RESTful APIs, databases, and modern backend technologies
- Excellent problem-solving skills and creative approach to designing agent systems
