As our portfolio expands, we are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accountant to support and strengthen our financial operations.
This role will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close processes, managing payables and receivables, and contributing to the financial reporting and internal control structure of a growing multi-brand organization. - Maintain the general ledger, including preparation and posting of journal entries.
- Perform monthly bank, credit card, and account reconciliations.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing and payment tracking.
- Assist with payroll processing and related reconciliations.
- Prepare internal financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation.
- Monitor and track expenses to support cash flow visibility and working capital management.
- Assist in maintaining and improving accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Support inventory and cost accounting processes across multiple product lines.
- Collaborate with operations, e-commerce, and marketing teams to ensure financial data aligns with business activities.
- Assist external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors with required documentation and reporting.
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably within a startup, consumer goods, retail, or e-commerce environment.
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles.
- Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks Online or similar ERP systems preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and financial reporting tools.
- Experience supporting month-end close and financial reporting processes.
- Exposure to inventory accounting or cost accounting is a plus.
- CPA certification or CPA-track preferred but not required.
