Description

The Night Safety Advisor (NSA) provides dedicated HSE oversight and coaching during night-shift drilling & completion operations. The NSA works alongside the Night Supervisor to ensure continuous compliance with company’s HSE standards and that all night-shift activities are planned, executed, and closed safely.

This is a field presence role — not desk-based. The NSA must be visible, active, and proactive on the rig floor and in all work areas throughout the shift. Night activities carry elevated risk exposure; the NSA is the dedicated HSE resource ensuring risk controls are maintained and that the crew operates to the same standard as day shift.

  • Minimum 3 years as a Safety Advisor (or equivalent HSE field role) on Drilling & Completion operations

  • Proven experience conducting HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and safety coaching with field crews
  • Familiarity with Permit to Work systems, risk assessment processes (JSA / JRA), and incident reporting
  • Experience using incident management / reporting systems (e.g. Synergi Life or equivalent)
  • Comfortable working night shifts in remote onshore environments
  • Strong interpersonal skills — ability to influence and coach across all crew levels
  • Available for 28/28 rotation (night shift) mobilizing to Basra, Iraq from Q3 2026

PREFERRED / ADVANTAGEOUS EXPERIENCE

  • Arabic language skills — highly valued; enables direct coaching with the Iraqi national crew
  • Experience working in Iraq — especially onshore southern Iraq / Basra region
  • Prior experience on land rig drilling operations (vs. offshore or process plant)
  • Familiarity with company’s HSE standards: 12 Golden Rules, Perfect Day, Well Sentinel, Safety Green Light, Life Saving Checks, Stop Work Authority
