The Tool Maker II is responsible for working on a variety of operations and production machinery to fabricate, and/or process parts, and perform required tasks in the manufacture of product.

This position reports to the Production Supervisor and is located in Cortland, NY and is an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Set up and operate a variety of machine tools including, but not limited to: Lathes, Mills, Drills, Grinders, Hones and other surface finishing equipment.
• Work under the direction of supervisors, or more experienced personnel, with little supervision.
• Plans and produces/repairs parts, machines, jogs, fixtures, tooling and prototypes using good machining practices.

The essential requirements of the job include:  

• High School Diploma, G.E.D. or Equivalent.
• 18 months + of related tool making experience.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

• Ability to stand, sit, stoop, bend, walk, reach, squat, kneel, push, and pull for a minimum, 8 hours.
• Ability to lift and carry 0-10lbs continuously, 11-40lbs occasionally (with assistance if needed), and push/pull 0-25lbs frequently and 26-100lbs occasionally (with assistance if needed).

Shift will be Monday - Friday 6:00AM – 2:30PM.

The hourly range for this role is $34.39/hour-$35.43/hour. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
