The Role

As an Oracle Database Administrator at Kyndryl, you’ll be responsible for the administration and operation of relational and non‑relational database environments, primarily Oracle databases. In this role, you ensure database availability, performance, security, and reliability while supporting business‑critical production systems under defined SLAs.

You will install, configure, and maintain database engines, monitor performance, troubleshoot incidents, and collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to support business requirements. Your work directly contributes to stable operations, data integrity, and continuous service improvement in enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and operate Oracle databases, ensuring availability, performance, and stability.

• Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade database engines following operational standards.

• Monitor production environments, analyze alerts, and troubleshoot database incidents under SLAs.

• Manage backup, recovery, high‑availability solutions, and capacity planning.

• Optimize queries, support applications, and maintain technical documentation and operational standards.

Required Skills and Experience

• 4+ years of hands‑on experience in Oracle database administration or support roles.

• Experience administering and operating Oracle relational and non‑relational databases.

• Knowledge of database installation, configuration, performance management, and capacity planning.

• Experience monitoring environments, analyzing alerts, and troubleshooting database incidents.

• Intermediate English proficiency required for technical documentation and collaboration with global teams.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience managing backups, recovery processes, and high‑availability Oracle solutions.

• Familiarity with database security and access management (users, roles, permissions).

• Experience with patching, upgrades, and hardening of database platforms.

• Relevant certification such as Oracle Database Administration Professional or equivalent.
