What You’ll Do
- Be a mobility magician—help residents move with confidence, strength, and a spark of joy.
- Turn therapy sessions into victories—celebrate every small step, stretch, or lift that brings independence closer.
- Create personalized game plans (treatment plans) that match each resident’s goals and lifestyle.
- Teach residents and their families tips and exercises so progress continues beyond sessions.
- Team up with nurses, caregivers, and other wellness champions to deliver whole-person care.
- Keep track of progress like a wellness detective—documenting successes and milestones along the way.
- Be the friendly motivator, cheerleader, and coach our residents look forward to seeing.
What You Bring to the Table
- Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in Virginia or a compact state
- Accredited Physical Therapy degree
- Rehab or long-term care experience preferred, but passion for improving lives matters most
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills
- Excellent communicator and collaborative team player
- Compassion and genuine resident focus
- Comfort with electronic health records and thorough documentation
