Job Overview
Support the key fundamentals of manufacturing; Safety, Quality, Productivity and Cost Reduction initiatives through the design and support of technical projects and project team activity. Projects and teams are driven by process improvement, operations capital investment plan, product development initiatives and the engineering business plan.
Highlights of your role
- Design, develop, and test new tooling and fixtures to address safety and quality concerns.
- Develop bills of materials for new tooling/fixtures and order required materials for fabrication.
- Provide training to production lines on new tooling, fixtures, and processes.
- Assist line engineers with daily process support.
- Support line engineers with Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) updates.
- Maintain accuracy of drawings for jigs, fixtures, and tooling.
You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)
- Associate degree or equivalent experience required
- Knowledge and use of variety of hand and power tools required
- Demonstrated, strong oral and written communication skills a must
- Experience with Microsoft, 2D and 3D modeling preferred
- Experience with Mechanical Design and Fabrication a plus
