Overview
As an Occupational Therapist Hand Therapist, you'll treat a variety of upper extremity conditions including post-op fractures and tendon injuries in our well-equipped outpatient clinic. You'll work alongside top hand surgeons using evidence-based care practices. Responsibilities include evaluation, treatment planning, discharge planning, and supervising assistants. Candidates must have OT license, 1 year of recent hand therapy experience (or new grad with Select Medical level 2 fieldwork), CPR certification, and valid driver's license. This is a PRN position with weekday availability.

Occupational Therapist – Hand Therapy (PRN)Location: Port Richey, FLSchedule: Weekdays, PRNPay: $50/hr
Select Physical Therapy is seeking an experienced Hand Therapist (OT) to join our outpatient team. Treat a variety of upper extremity conditions including post-op fractures, tendon injuries, and more. Splinting experience preferred. Manage 10–12 patients per day using evidence-based care. Work alongside top hand surgeons in a well-equipped clinic. Be part of a growing national hand therapy program.
Minimum 1 year of hand therapy experience required. In lieu of experience, new grad who completed level 2 fieldwork with Select Medical, apply today!
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the evaluation, plan of care, treatment, re-evaluation, discharge, and appropriate communications of high quality hand therapy services to patients and customers.
- Develop treatment plans, supervise assistants and aides, contribute to case management, and provide quality patient care.
- Maintain positive level of interaction with facilities and clients. Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.
- Stay current and up to date with Occupational Therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception).
Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of an AOTA accredited school of Occupational Therapy and state OT License required
- Experience in the application of custom splinting pre and post-op orthopedics is required
- Occupational Therapists with a minimum of one yr recent hand therapy experience. In lieu of experience, new grad who completed level 2 fieldwork with Select Medical eligible!
- Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Valid driver’s license
