Description
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Associate Director, Finance to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Company's financial and tax planning, reporting, accounting, budgeting, cash flow management, and internal control functions while providing financial insights and support to senior management and business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Company's finance and accounting functions and provide strategic financial and tax guidance to senior management.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and ensure financial information is accurate, timely, and compliant with applicable accounting standards.
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process and monitor actual results against budgets.
- Prepare financial analysis, management reports, cash flow forecasts, and other financial information to support business decisions.
- Develop and maintain effective internal controls, financial policies, and procedures.
- Manage banking relationships and support financing, credit facilities, and other corporate financial initiatives to all Group entities.
- Coordinate year-end audits, tax filings, and other external financial reporting requirements.
- Work closely with operations, sales, engineering, project management, and other departments to improve financial performance and cost management.
- Provide financial oversight and support to the Company's subsidiaries and international operations.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, systems, reporting, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- CPA designation
- 10+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, including management-level experience.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, internal controls and global tax planning.
- Experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting systems.
- Experience with manufacturing, engineering, project-based businesses, or international operations is an asset.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees and management across different functions and countries.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
