Description
Develop and implement strategic outreach plans to increase awareness of department programs and services. Design, create, and distribute outreach materials, including brochures, flyers, newsletters, presentations, signage, informational resources, and other departmental communications using a variety of print and digital platforms. Coordinate outreach activities with community partners, organizations, and program participants, including scheduling, event logistics, material preparation, and on-site event setup and teardown. Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of department events, trainings, community outreach activities, meetings, and recognition programs. Develop, gather, and maintain content for department publications, websites, social media platforms, videos, and other public communication initiatives. Support multimedia and public information projects by coordinating interviews, collecting stories, and collaborating with internal and external partners. Create and maintain department communication materials and coordinate printing and production requests with internal and external vendors. Respond to referrals and requests for assistance from older adults and individuals with disabilities by telephone, email, home visits, and walk-in interactions, providing information, referrals, and appropriate follow-up. Build and maintain collaborative relationships with department staff, City departments, community organizations, service providers, and other stakeholders while representing the department in a professional manner. Maintain accurate records, assist with data collection and reporting, and utilize department software and technology to support outreach activities and program operations. Perform other related duties as assigned.
